What's free?

All solid color screens, screen patterns, touch checks, the reference benchmark and six effects are free. The remaining effects have a 30-second preview. Watch an optional rewarded ad to unlock one selected effect for 24 hours, or buy WhiteScreen Pro once for permanent access to all effects. There is no subscription.

How do 24-hour unlocks work?

Complete the rewarded ad and wait for its reward confirmation. Your selected effect then stays unlocked on this device for 24 elapsed hours, including time outside the app. Switching effects does not transfer the pass. Early closure or an unavailable ad does not grant a pass. There are no ads during effect playback.

Ads require an internet connection and depend on local availability and consent choices. If no ad is available, try later or enjoy a free effect. Unlocked effects and color screens work offline.

Restore Pro

Use Settings → Restore purchases with the Apple Account that originally purchased Pro. Restoration requires an internet connection. A pending purchase becomes active after Apple approves it. A refunded or revoked purchase no longer grants Pro access. Contact Apple through Report a Problem for purchase or refund requests.

Music and full-screen controls

Open an effect, tap the screen to reveal its controls, and choose the sliders button. Turn on Ambient sound and adjust Music volume. Sound respects the device's silent mode and stops when you leave playback or the app. You can keep listening to other audio. Tap the screen to hide controls; press and hold to leave a locked display.

Customize your shortcut

Edit the Quick Light button on the Screen tab to choose a color or effect and its playback settings. Choosing a premium effect does not bypass its access requirement. You can change your shortcut anytime.

Performance and display checks

The benchmark is a lightweight reference, not a laboratory certification. Temperature, power mode and background activity can change results. Screen patterns help with visual inspection; they cannot automatically diagnose or repair a display. Reduce brightness and choose a lower effect quality for longer sessions.

Language and privacy

The app starts in your system language when supported. Choose English, Chinese or Japanese in Settings. Optional usage analytics is off by default. Ad privacy choices and the app privacy policy are also available in Settings.
